Company description:
According to some specialists, the name of the city of Covasna comes from cvas which means 'sour', in Slavic. So, starting with the 19th century, the inhabitants of Covasna readied themselves each year for guests that were coming for spa, by offering them fine meals and lodging.
Mineral water, back then, was dug-up from wells in wooded buckets, and then heated on very hot rocks. After bathing, there was the mofètte. The mofèttes from back then were very different from the ones of today, being nothing more than holes dug in the ground and provisioned with ladders, so that, while the patient's body was still in the mofètte, his/her head was to remain outside of it.
